Sordell, 23, is expected to make the switch for an initial £600,000, having been signed by Owen Coyle for £3.2m on deadline day in February 2012.

He was snapped up from Watford, where Dyche was then manager, and the pacy frontman went on to play for Team GB at London 2012.

Sordell has had a tough time at Wanderers, making only 16 starts, and spent last season on loan at Charlton Athletic.

Bryson, meanwhile, had talks with Burnley on Tuesday, after a £750,000 clause was activated which allowed the Clarets to speak to the 27-year-old about a switch.

Derby are thought to want more like £2m for their player of the year, who scored 16 goals as the Rams made the play-off final.

Earlier this month Dyche was also linked with Bryson’s Derby teammate Richard Keogh in a £2.5m joint move.
