THE Burnley Sunday Football League kicked off at the weekend.
And the league would like to thank K. Supplies for their continued sponsorship.
Despite the deluge of rain the previous week, a full programme was played over the three divisions.
In the Premier Division, Prairie Athletic beat Bacup New Conservative 4-2, Railway Club beat RCC FC by the odd goal in five, Thornton Arms triumphed 9-1 against Burnley Westend, and Ultra Finishing saw off Dugdale 7-1.
In the First Division, Flying Dutchman enjoyed an 8-1 win over Chucky Pad Warriors, while George IV Old Boys and Barrowford Celtic Youth shared six goals.
Hare and Hounds beat Sabden 6-2, and St Paul’s also hit six in a 6-4 win over Glory.
There were goals galore in the Second Division.
AFC Weir and Royal Butterfly drew 2-2, Britannia beat Gannow 8-0, Craven Heifer went down 4-2 to Boars Head, and General Williams beat Turf 6-0.
The league would also like to thank the following - Bar Code, who have backed the Premier Division Cup, Fixings North West, the First Division Cup sponsors, the Briggs family, who again sponsor the Second Division Cup, and Towneley Cup sponsors Alderson and Horan Funeral Services.
Grassroots local football in Burnley and the surrounding areas is prospering due to their generosity.
