Burnley Ladies picked up four points from a double-header with Irlam as they look to stave off relegation from the NorthWest Premier League.
In the first encounter, the lady Clarets opened the scoring within five minutes, as a cross from Sarah Buffel was volleyed into the roof of the net by Kelly Dean.
Burnley doubled their lead in the second half when Dean chipped the keeper from skipper Jo Holt’s pass.
Irlam halved the deficit shortly afterwards, before equalising in injury time.
The second match saw the Clarets again raced into a two-goal lead as Buffel sped onto a long ball from Holt and lifted it over the keeper, before she added a second, firing home from a narrow angle.
Irlam pulled a goal back just before the break, but the Clarets clinched the points late on when Debbie Trayner teed up Charlotte Hartley.
Burnley Ladies now face away games at Crewe and Preston on Sunday and Wednesday respectively.
