Fulledge Colts Under 14s have won the Accrington and District Junior Football League and Cup double for the second season in a row.

The Colts joined the ADJFL in 2009 at Under 10s and have now finished as champions in four of the last five seasons.

An 8-0 win on the final day against Great Harwood Rovers, with goals from Ben Ashton (3), Cameron Lancaster, Josh McRae, Reid Wolstenhome and Thomas Keellings (2) sealed the title.

The two sides then travelled to Clitheroe FC’s Shawbridge ground to meet in the league cup final.

After a competitive first half, Fulledge Colts used smart possession of the ball to secure a 5-1 victory, with goals from Jake Woodward, Thomas Keellings (3) and Reid Wolstenholme.

The team are now unbeaten in two full seasons and the reputation for the quality of football they play has been enhanced with a series of fine performances, both individually and collectively.

For the forthcoming 2014/15 season, the team have applied to the Bolton and Bury District Football League in order to test themselves against different opposition and challenge the development of the players.

The Colts are now off to Belgium to enter the Portes Des Fagnes Tournament in Verviers, which boasts Cambridge United and Luton Town amongst previous entrants, and they will come up against Southend United Academy team during the weekend.

The club would like to thank ARC elevators for their support with strip sponsorship.
