Three Blessed Trinity students had a goalden chance to see the illustrious Paris St Germain as part of an Accrington Stanley Academy trip.
The Year Seven trio, aged 12, all attend League 2 Stanley’s youth set-up and recently went on a visit to France with the Academy to learn about football abroad.
Goalkeeper Matthew Whitworth, captain Luke Stowe - whose dad Dean Stowe played for Hull - and Jack Doughty said it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
“It was amazing to go to somewhere like Paris St Germain and see their training ground,” said Matthew. “It was really smart and it was a quality trip, especially to play ‘international’ football which was a valuable experience.
“It made us all feel grown-up and professional. It was well-organised and I would love to go again.”
