George IV beat Prairie Athletic 4-0 in the final of the Burnley Sunday League Premier Division Cup at the Arbories.

George IV took a second-minute lead with a Luke Thompson tap in from a corner, and they dominated the rest of the half with several chances for Luke Thompson and Aron Chapman, but couldn’t extend their advantage.

The second half continued where the first had left off with several more spurned opportunities for George IV.

With 20 minutes remaining, George IV manager Darren Hunt made a double substitution with Tyler Sudderick and Michael Morrison replacing Josh Maxwell and Aron Chapman, and they doubled their lead when Andy Arkwright rounded the keeper to slide the ball home.

Shortly after Luke Thompson added a third with a looping header, before Arkwright scored the goal of the game, a 20-yard screamer.
