Keane made his competitive debut for the Three Lions, on his Wembley bow, and wasn't overly stretched as Gareth Southgate's side made it 13 points from 15 as they continue to top group F in World Cup qualifying.

Goals in either half from Jermain Defoe and Jamie Vardy proved enough for England.

Keane, 24, had earned his first cap in the 1-0 friendly defeat to Germany in Dortmund on Wednesday night, and got the nod alongside Manchester City's John Stones in the absence of the suspended former Claret Gary Cahill, with Chris Smalling out injured.

Tom Heaton was again an unused substitute.
