Clarets’ boss Sean Dyche took time out to greet James Hargreaves Group managing director Gordon Rothwell and also visit the company’s bathroom showroom on nearby Todmorden Road to meet with staff.

Gordon said: “We have always enjoyed a fruitful partnership with Burnley FC and are delighted to be able to continue the stand sponsorship. The James Hargreaves Stand has become synonymous with Turf Moor over the last 18 years and this new contract will take the association beyond two decades.

“This is also a very exciting time for the club and its loyal supporters and we would like to wish Sean and the boys all the very best for the remainder of the season as they push for promotion.”

Sean said: “It’s a great result for us and we are indebted to the James Hargreaves Group for once again showing such solid support. To be a main line sponsor over what will be 20 consecutive seasons is a fantastic effort.
