Sean Dyche’s men won 3-0 at Crystal Palace on Saturday afternoon, a vital three points after Fulham’s 2-0 win at Everton.

Goals from Johann Gudmundsson, Jay Rodriguez and Matt Lowton put the Clarets eight points above the bottom three.

When asked if the Clarets will retain their top-flight status, the former England international said: “Yeah, I think so.

"That was a top-class performance, it had a bit of everything.

"I think Sean Dyche will be happy with how his side defended but when they scored quality goals and had quality movement against a poor Crystal Palace side.

"But you don’t want to take anything away from Burnley – yeah I certainly think they’ll be safe."

Next up for Dyche’s side is Fulham on Wednesday evening, where a win at Turf Moor would open up an 11-point advantage.
