Revealed: The toughest grounds to visit in the Premier League - and how Turf Moor measures up

Burnley’s 2-1 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United left them seven points clear of the relegation zone with seven matches left to play this season.

The Clarets are currently 16th in the Premier League after taking 33 points from their first 31 matches in the top flight

Within that tally, there’s little to differentiate between their home and away form.

So far this season, Burnley have taken 15 points on the road and 18 points on their own turf – although it is worth pointing out that they have played one game more at Turf Moor.

Bankrate.com have run the number on every Premier League side to see who has built up the strongest fortress over the past 10 years.
