Revealed! The 18 Premier League transfers that could happen on deadline day - Including Burnley, Man Utd, and Everton

Judging by Burnley’s reported efforts in recent days, Sean Dyche will be hoping that he can still get some business done before the transfer window closes tonight.

The Clarets have been disappointingly quiet this month, especially considering the arrival of their new owners just prior to the market opening – but, in their defence, it’s not been for want of trying.

Burnley have been linked with a whole host of players this month, including a number of defenders.

Ben Davies looks all set to seal a shock move to Liverpool in the coming hours, however, while the Clarets were knocked back in their initial efforts to sign Stoke City teenager Nathan Collins.

That one looks as if it still could have legs, however, with suggestions from The Sun’s Alan Nixon that they have gone back in with an improved bid.

Again, the Potters are said to have stood firm, but don’t be surprised to see this one develop as the day rumbles on.

Elsewhere, any hopes of landing Everton’s Jonjoe Kenny are looking increasingly slim.

Burnley have been linked with the full-back pretty much all month long, but fresh updates from various sources – including the BBC – would suggest that Scottish champions Celtic have stolen a march on the competition in the race to snap him up.
