The striker guided Djibril Sidibe's cross in to the far corner to wrap up the points for the home side at Goodison Park on Boxing Day. Burnley boss Sean Dyche made two changes to his side with Robbie Brady and Jay Rodriguez replaced suspended Jeff Hendrick and Ashley Barnes. Here are the scores...
5. Ben Mee 8
The Burnley skipper was outstanding at Goodison Park, winning absolutely everything in front of him. Made a superb block to divert Bernard's second half strike, which was pipped by a perfectly-timed challenge on Richarlison.
6. Robbie Brady 6
Tracked back well in support of his full back and competed well in the air. However, the Republic of Ireland international was uneconomical in possession and missed a golden opportunity to give Burnley the lead from McNeil's centre.
7. Jack Cork 6
The Burnley midfielder would run all day and all night if asked. He was continuously on his toes, closing down the opposition, breaking up play and mopped up any balls that broke loose on his watch.
8. Ashley Westwood 6
Not quite as influential as in recent games, but another organised, disciplined and determined display. Supplied two exquisite set-pieces in the first half, which the Clarets failed to capitalise on.
