For Burnley, the January transfer window could bring about significant change at Turf Moor, with new owners seemingly on the horizon.

According to the Daily Mail, a £200 million American takeover of the club could be sealed as early as next week, with Clarets staff being told to prepare for a change in ownership in the coming days.

ALK Capital, the sports investment firm fronted by financial guru Alan Pace, should receive Premier League approval to complete their deal imminently, and current chairman Mike Garlick could remain at the club in the short term, with a full handover of power taking place further down the line.
