Could Burnley target one of these 17 players from Scottish football in the transfer window
A look at the players in the SPFL who could interest clubs in England
This summer’s transfer window is set to be a fascinating one with managers, players, fans and clubs unsure what to expect. While the Premier League and Championship could be back up and running next month, in Scotland the 2019/20 campaign has already been concluded.
The knock-on effects will likely be felt both sides of the border. 5. Stephen O’Donnell - Kilmarnock
The right-back turned down a contract extension at Kilmarnock opening up a path for a move to England. He previously played for Luton Town but is now a Scotland international and used to rampaging runs down the flank. Photo: Ian MacNicol

6. Lewis Ferugson - Aberdeen
Tenacious, passionate, winning mentality. He was trusted by manager Derek McInnes from a young age. Has played as the deepest player in the midfield and more recently as a No.10. Best position is likely to be a No.8. Photo: Mark Runnacles

7. Vaclav Hladky - St Mirren
The Czech goalkeeper is out of contract. St Mirren are keen to hold on to him after emerging as a key player but Hladky has previously talked of wanting to play in England. Would be a shrewd pick-up as he is one of the most rounded and reliable No.1s in the league. Photo: Mark Runnacles

8. Sam Cosgrove - Aberdeen
A number of Championship clubs will see the hulking forward as a possible option to lead their attack. Although Aberdeen will drive a hard bargain with Stoke City heavily linked. Photo: Mark Runnacles
