Burnley transfer rumours: Price named in Clarets pursuit, Dyche wants wide man

We’re almost halfway through the January transfer window, and the rumour mill is really starting to pick up some pace.

Even with a new owner behind him, it’s proven to be a frustratingly slow start to proceedings for Sean Dyche, but if recent speculation is to be believed, the Burnley boss is determined to do business if and when he can.

One name that has already sprung up as a potential target is Everton full-back Jonjoe Kenny.

The 23-year-old is out-of-favour at Goodison Park, and the Clarets have been given a welcome boost, according to Football Insider.

They report that a fee of around £7 million would be enough to secure the defender on a permanent basis – although a loan is still an option.

Elsewhere, Sky Sports report that Dyche is firmly in the market for a wide midfielder too, but no specific targets have been named yet.

Sheffield United have launched a double loan enquiry for Manchester United duo Jesse Lingard and Brandon William. Southampton are said to be leading the race for Williams in particular, however. (Eurosport)

The Blades are also keen on Wigan Athletic’s Scotland Under-19 striker Kyle Joseph. Tottenham Hotspur, Celtic, and Rangers are also interested. (David Anderson – The Mirror)

Brighton winger Alireza Jahanbakhsh has openly stated that he is unhappy with his limited role under Graham Potter. In a recent interview, he said: "I want to play more, that’s clear. I am at the peak of my career and should not be lurking for a place.” (Voetbal International)

Leeds United are interested in signing RC Lens centre-back Loic Bade. Liverpool and AC Milan are also said to be keen on the player, but any transfer could be a more plausible possibility in the summer. (Foot Mercato)

Dutch outfit ADO Den Haag are keen on signing out-of-favour Leeds United winger Jay-Roy Grot. The continental club cannot sign the 22-year-old on loan this month, however, and will have to wait until his contract expires at the end of the season or an agreement is reached to terminate his deal at Elland Road to secure his services on a permanent basis. Celtic have slashed their asking price for star striker Odsonne Edouard by £15 million. The Hoops had been looking to secure a fee of around £40 million for the Frenchman, but would now settle for £25 million. A number of Premier League clubs, including Leicester City, West Ham, and Newcastle United have been linked with him previously. (Football Insider)

Wolves have launched a serious offer for Montpellier striker Andy Delort to replace the injured Raul Jimenez. Newcastle United are also tracking the 29-year-old. (La Buteur)

AC Milan have approached Chelsea over a potential loan move for centre-back Fikayo Tomori. Frank Lampard has made it clear that he expects the player to leave Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks, with Leeds and Newcastle both being touted as potential destinations in the recent past.
