The England Under 21 international has come back flying since the Clarets resumed training at the Barnfield Training Centre last month.

McNeil had clocked up two goals and five assists prior to the suspension of the Premier League campaign, but the skipper is confident that there's still plenty more to come.

"I speak about Dwight [McNeil] a lot, I can't speak highly enough of him at the minute," said the 30-year-old centre back.

"He's been fantastic for us and he's had a great season. He just keeps going from strength to strength and he continued where he left off.

"He's a valuable member of our squad, he's a young lad, he brings that youth to the team and we all enjoy playing with him.

"I'm enjoying watching him grow as a player and as a person, he's settled in really nicely with the team and the group and you can see his confidence growing when he's around the more experienced lads.

"He's got a lot to give and he's got a lot more to show. It's exciting for the club and for himself."
