Much of the speculation surrounding Burnley at the moment concerns the seemingly imminent buyout of the club, but there are still some wheelings and dealings to keep an eye on.

Young goalkeeper Luke Thomas, for example, has sealed a loan move to National League North side AFC Fylde.

The non-league outfit have moved to sign the 18-year-old after they suffered injuries to their two senior options between the sticks.

Thomas could make his debut as soon as Saturday, and will stay with his new club on a short-term work experience deal.

Leeds United have been tipped to sign Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo by former England striker Kevin Phillips amid reported interest from Newcastle United. The pundit said: “I think Newcastle, Leeds and a few other clubs will be looking at Rojo. I am sure there would be a lot of clubs on tracking him but Leeds is an appealing club at the moment. I would imagine Bielsa would look at that because that is an area they could do with strengthening in. He also has the experience of playing in big games at a big club.” (Football Insider)

By contrast, Everton will not be entering the race for Rojo. The Toffees have been linked with the defender before, but are now understood to be looking at alternative options. (Football Insider)

Liverpool are closely tracking Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma as a potential replacement for Gini Wijnaldum in the coming weeks. Albion are bracing themselves for offers with a number of other big clubs said to be keeping tabs on the player. (ESPN)

Inter Milan are keeping tabs on Newcastle United defender Fabian Schar. The Italian giants are understood to be in the market for defensive reinforcements, and the Swiss international is said to be one of several names on their shortlist. (Tuttosport)

Christian Benteke’s agent has claimed that there are a number of clubs from across Europe interested in signing the Crystal Palace striker.
