Burnley launch move for West Brom defender, Chris Hughton addresses Joe Worrall's Nottingham Forest future

The Premier League season is in the middle of the March international break – but there is no break in the Burnley speculation.

Sean Dyche’s side, while fighting to retain their top-flight status, are planning for what Clarets fans hope is a busy transfer window.

Nottingham Forest defender Joe Worrall is somebody who has long been linked with a move to Turf Moor.

And Forest boss Chris Hughton has addressed the speculation linking his captain with a move elsewhere.

He told Nottinghamshire Live: “Speculation is always speculation. It’s always nice for Joe. And I think it’s nice for the club.

"If other clubs or the media are speaking well about one of our players, we’d like to think that shows the club have done something right in developing a player like that.

“I think he’s mature enough to accept it for what it is. Until the day it’s not speculation, he’s got to get on with the job he’s doing, which is a good job.”

Meanwhile, Burnley have made an approach to sign West Bromwich Albion youngster Harry Williams.

That’s according to Football Insider, who claims the 18-year-old defender has been told he will be released at the end of the season.

The Clarets have got wind of Williams’ situation and have made an approach to bring him to Lancashire.
