“It’s alarming how we didn’t get a penalty if I’m honest, it’s incredible, but cest la vie.”
Dyche made seven changes to the side, giving debuts to Matt Gilks, Stephen Ward and Marvin Sordell, and he added: “The only way they can get match fit is with games.
“We felt that was wise to make sure players on the periphery get games.
“I thought the performance was a nearly performance, you score the first goal and it changes that nearly performance into a good one.
“We dominated the stats and made the chances.”
