Howe on verge of move to Burnley FC?

BOURNEMOUTH manager Eddie Howe could be taking charge of his final Cherries match tonight.

The 33-year-old is understood to be on the verge of completing a move to Burnley FC and could be unveiled as the new Clarets manager this weekend after rejecting moves to Crystal Palace and Charlton Athletic.

Newspaper reports have suggested compensation issues between the two clubs may have now been solved, making way for the move of Howe and assistant manager Jason Tindall. It was only on Tuesday that the Cherries boss assured fans at Bournemouth he was staying put.

In a statement yesterday, Burnley chairman Barry Kilby said: “Burnley Football Club is still in discussions with several parties with regard to the managerial vacancy at Turf Moor.”

It is believed that Howe could reveal more information after tonight’s clash at Colchester after he confirmed he would talk to the media following the League One match which will be televised by Sky.
