Hart nets injury time leveller for the Storks

A last-gasp Jason Hart equaliser prevented Padiham slipping to a sixth-successive defeat on Saturday.

The Storks were looking set for an eighth loss in 10 games, against relegation-threatened Maine Road at the Ruby Civil Arena at the Arbories.

The visitors were poised to draw level on points with AFC Liverpool, who sit a place above the drop zone, thanks to Jamie Roe’s goal midway through the first half.

But it was late heartbreak for them, and relief for Liam Smith and Dixon Lambert’s side, after Hart’s injury time equaliser.

The point kept Padiham 14th in the table, ahead of last night’s trip to the Richborough Estates Stadium to face Congleton Town.

On Wednesday night, Padiham are again on the road as they travel to face AFC Darwen at the WEC Group Anchor Ground.

The Storks then round off their season at Runcorn Town’s Pavilions ground on Saturday, and Abbey Hey on Monday.
