Turf Moor will stage the tie in the week beginning October 28th.

Manager Sean Dyche was delighted with his players after negotiating a tough test on Tuesday night, beating Nottingham Forest 2-1 to advance, and he said: “I’m very pleased. It was an important game.

“A winning mentality is something we mentioned at the end of last year, we spoke about it as a group, how we build it, what we do to build it, how we take ownership of it, and there are real good signs of that.

“It has to be looked after and cared for, because there’s no given that you win every week.

“We’re making a nice habit of doing that but we have to be aware we have to stay on top of our performances.

“We certainly didn’t do that for the first 25 minutes on Tuesday.

“After their goal it settled us down weirdly and we seemed to find our feet a little bit.

“There were a couple of sharp moves from Danny Ings that brought everything to life again, then we score a fine goal and the whole thing feels different.”

Ings’ two goals proved the difference, and Dyche added: “He’s enjoying his football, you can see it.

“He’s got a nice energy to his game, we know he’s got quality.

“The biggest thing I’m enjoying is his work ethic for the team.

“He knows how important the team is, he values it, he’s valued within the group but he values the group and what they do.

“It’s not just him, Vokesy did all the ugly stuff again. There’s a nice combination there.

“We made four changes and they’ve come in and given a performance and that’s important because we have got a small squad so it’s important they’re fit and well and ready to play.

“But we like what we’re doing here, we’re enjoying what we’re doing.

“We’re looking to build a mentality but also we think it’s fair to say we’re playing with some real quality.

“In the second half there were some fantastic counter attacks – great examples of counter-attacking.”
