Fulledge Colts Under 15’s 3, Colne FC 2

IT was back to league action against Colne FC for Fulledge Colts Under 15s and with a 3-2 victory.

K. Byker opened the scoring before bad defending gifted Colne an equaliser.

Byker then got his second but Colne were again back on level terms following more poor defending.

Fulledge finally got the winner when B. Beardsell fired an unstoppable free-kick into the top corner. Man-of-the-match was Charlie Carlin.

The Colts Under 15s also beat Baxenden on Saturday with a fine goal from Uzair Patel securing a 1-0 win.

Fulledge Under 12s were unfortunatley beaten 6-2 by Huncoat Utd.

Goals came from James Ellison and Charley Bateson who also claimed the man-of-the-match award.

Brierfield Celtic Under 7s beat Padiham with Tyler Stechling being awarded man-of-the-match.

Celtic’s Under 10 Blues played their counterpart Under 10 Green team at the weekend and both teams fought out a well earned 0-0 draw. The two man-of-the-matches were Oliver barker and Ryan Whitehead

It was an electrifying performance by Brierfield Celtic’s Under 8’s with goals from Johnny Stevenson, Bailey Dickson, Joe Livesey, Tom Drake, Louis Rodgers and defender Rayn Hussain. Celtic gave Barnoldswick an exiciting game on home ground leaving the visitors disappointed as they put up a hard battle. Joe Livesey was crowned man-of- the-match.

The best performance of the season so far from Celtic Under 11 Reds still somehow ended in a 2-1 defeat against Readstone United Under 11 Blues.

One goal behind at half-time, Celtic couldn’t have started the second half any worse as a long range effort was deflected off Luke Ramsden to leave Alex no chance in goal and to leave the Reds 2 down.

A penalty was slotted home by Luke to make it 2-1 and for the rest of the game the Reds continued to dominate but could not get the rub of the green when needed to equalize.

It was a mid-morning wake up call for Celtic Under 15 Reds as they went down 7-1 to Huncoat United.

James Lowe collected a solitary consolation goal for the Reds.

Readstone Yellows slipped to a 5-1 defeat in their weekend fixture away to Barnoldswick Barons.

Readstone Under 10s Blue had a convincing 10-1 victory over Barnoldswick Barons White.

The goal scorers were Brandon Wylie (five), Daniel Fielden (two), Saul Wilds, Oliver Wheatcroft and Luke Higginson. Alex Whittaker was named man-of-the-match.

Readstone Under 10s Yellow drew 0-0 with Briercliffe Rovers. Harry Burrows was named man-of-the-match.
