Former Clarets striker Ings to miss the rest of the season

Reports suggest former Clarets striker Danny Ings could be out for the rest of the season with another knee injury.

Ings, who joined Liverpool on a tribunal-set £6.5m deal, missed most of his first campaign at Anfield after a cruciate knee ligament injury, and after battling his way back into the first team picture, he suffered his latest setback in the EFL Cup against Spurs last week.

Ings twice suffered serious knee injuries in his first two seasons with Burnley.
