Footy final beckons for proud Padiham team
A football team is riding on the crest of a wave this week.
But no, this is not the Clarets this time.
The team who cannot wipe the smiles off their faces are the girls team from Padiham Primary School who are in the final of the Burnley and Padiham District Schools Football competition.
They clinched their place in the same week that the Clarets were promoted to the Premiership.
The youngsters will play in the final at Turf Moor on Thursday against Burnley's Wellfield Primary School.
