Fleetwood Town have beaten off a number of other League One clubs to snap up Burnley striker Chris Long on a season long loan.
Long, an England U20 international, made eleven appearances for the Clarets in the Championship last season as they gained promotion to the Premier League.
Fleetwood head coach Uwe Rosler thanked Burnley and Sean Dyche for trusting the club with one of their top talents.
He said: “We are delighted to have been able to bring Chris to Fleetwood Town, he turned down many other options to join us.
“He’s a player I’ve known for a long-time and is someone I actually tried to sign when I was manager of Wigan.
“Our technical director (Gretar Steinsson) has been working on the deal for a number of months and I am delighted we have finally been able to bring him to Fleetwood Town.
“Chris fits our profile, he’s a versatile player who can play right across the front three and we are excited by the signing.
“He has the quality and personality to fit into what we are trying to achieve here at Fleetwood Town.
“I’d like to thank Burnley football club and Sean Dyche for trusting us with one of his top talents.”
