Liverpool full back Jon Flanagan arrived on a season-long loan ahead of the 1-1 draw with Real Sociedad, as the Clarets ended pre-season unbeaten.

The 23-year-old followed Charlton Athletic duo Johann Berg Gudmundsson and Nick Pope to Turf Moor.

But if there are more to come before the visit of Swansea City to Turf Moor, it remains to be been seen whether they will start against the Welshmen.

Asked what were the chances of more new faces ahead of Saturday, Dyche explained the state of play: “We’re certainly actively trying.

“The thing is whether they are then ready to step right in.

“Yet again, the way we work, and it’s the right way for me, players have the right platform.

“They know how we work, so the quicker we can get them in, the better.

“A couple of situations are building and we’re hopeful on them.”
