Death of former Claret Gerry

Former Claret Gerry Gow has died following a battle with cancer.

Gerry Gow, who played at Turf Moor during the 1983/84 season, died today (October 10th) aged 64.

Signed by John Bond, he went on to make just nine league appearances for the Clarets in what proved to be his last season as a Football League player.

The Scottish-born midfielder also represented Bristol City, Manchester City and Rotherham United in his career.
