BURNLEY stun Preston with a late fightback to emerge victorious in an amazing local derby at Turf Moor.
Chris Iwelumo gave the Clarets the perfect start when he headed in from former Preston star Ross Wallace's cross, despite the best efforts of Keith Tracey and Andy Lonergan on the line.
Adam Barton levelled the game, despite a suspicion of hand ball, before former Blackburn player Keith Tracey put the visitors ahead with a delightful finish.
Preston went further ahead in the second half when Tracey's cross found an unmarked Jon Parkin who's first time effort sailed into the net.
With just 12 minutes remaining Billy Jones received his second yellow card for time wasting, which seemed to give Burnley the shot in the arm they needed.
Chris Iwelumo scored a wonderful second goal when his long range volley left Lonergan with little chance, moments later he completed his hat-trick and a remarkable comeback when he headed in from Graham Alexander's pinpoint cross.
With the clock ticking down Jay Rodriguez raised the roof at Turf Moor when he headed in from Wallace's cross to earn the Clarets all three points.
