Andre Gray is in the shape of his life as he prepares to take on the Premier League with Burnley.
Gray hit a hat-trick at Rangers on Saturday to take his tally to eight goals in five pre-season games, and he looks lean and hungry ahead of his forst season in the top tier.
Boss Sean Dyche said: “We’ve tested him and he’s come back fitter again.
“I laid that down to all of them. I said, ‘Look, new challenge, another division, particularly away from home, hard to dominate the ball, you’re going to have to be ready to work hard’.
“I think the whole group so far are looking really good.”
Asked whether he can continue to score goals at Premier League level, Dyche added: “We’ll see, it’s a new challenge for him.
“He’s certainly looking sharp at the moment, he’s definitely up for the challenge, he’s fit and well and he’s enjoying his football, as he did last season.
“I think it’s exciting for him. When you look at the journey he’s been on, his biggest weapon for me is he doesn’t overthink things.
“If he misses a chance he’s not bothered, he’ll take the next one, and he’s certainly got goals in him.”
