Clarets boss Sean Dyche has been linked with the Leicester City job after Nigel Pearson was sacked at the King Power Stadium.
Despite keeping the Foxes in the Premier League, Pearson has parted company with Leicester, and Sky Sports were quick to link Dyche with the post.
Reporter Rob Dorsett said live on Sky Sports News HQ, discussing Pearson’s replacement: “The first name on the top of the list I’ve been told is Sean Dyche, he’s available...I suspect he will be of interest.”
Dyche signed a “new and improved” deal at Burnley last summer, after winning promotion to the Premier League, the details of which remain unclear, but Dyche pledged his future to the club after relegation, saying: “My story is not bigger than the club’s, I have always made it clear I am the manager and custodian for the club.
“The club will move forward and I will move forward with it, we are planning for the summer, we are planning beyond that and planning for next season.”
