Clarets fixtures for 2013/14 unveiled

After kickstarting the new campaign at home to Bolton Wanderers on Saturday, August 3rd, as part of the Football League’s 125th anniversary the Clarets will travel to Hillsborough to face Sheffield Wednesday (Saturday, August 10th).

The remaining fixtures of the opening month see Sean Dyche’s men entertain Championship new boys Yeovil Town at Turf Moor on Saturday, August 17th, before travelling to the AMEX Stadium to take on Brighton. A potential Capital One cup second round tie - providing the Clarets beat York City - will take place on August 28th while a visit to Pride Park to go head-to-head with Derby County takes place on Saturday, August 31st.

Following an international break, Burnley will play rivals Blackburn Rovers on home soil on Saturday, September 14th. The Clarets will also welcome former boss Eddie Howe back to Turf Moor with Bournemouth on Saturday, November 9th with the return fixture at Dean Court on Saturday, February 15th.
