Clarets fixtures for 2011-12

BURNLEY will start the new season with a home clash against Watford.

The Clarets recorded the double over the Hornets last season, and will kick-off the new campaign at Turf Moor on Saturday, August 6th.

The first away game comes the following Saturday at Crystal Palace.

Then follows a trip to relegated Birmingham City on Tuesday, August 16th, before Eddie Howe’s men round off a tough opening month at home to Cardiff on the 20th, and at Derby on the 27th.

Derby games are thin on the groud this season, but the Clarets will face relegated Blackpool at home on Saturday, October 29th, and travel to Bloomfield Road on the penultimate day of the season on April 21st.

Other key dates see a home game with Doncaster Rovers on Boxing Day, while Hull visit the Turf on December 31st.

The first game of the New Year is at Elland Road against Leeds on January 2nd.

Burnley round off the season at home to Bristol City on April 28th - as they did in 2009, winning 4-0 to seal a place in the play-offs.
