Clarets development trio sign new Turf contracts
The new contracts cap a memorable few months for the 19-year-old Development Squad regulars, who have impressed and, in the case of goalkeeper Mitchell and winger Jackson, earned them places on the bench for the first team.
Jackson, last season’s Youth Team Player of the Year, has been named as a substitute twice this season after travelling with the squad to Scotland for pre-season.

Mitchell, meanwhile, earned a debut call-up at Middlesbrough earlier this month to continue his rise through the ranks.
And Striker Massanka has also been on the cusp of the first team squad following a remarkable goalscoring record for the U21s, with 16 goals in just 14 starts.
Jackson said: “I am absolutely delighted. It’s great to have some stability behind me now for the next few seasons instead of worrying from year to year, and I can now just concentrate on getting my head down and improving.

Massanka added: “I’m thrilled to commit to the club for the long-term. It’s a great day for myself and my family and it’s a great feeling to make them happy after being at the club for so long.
“I feel like I have had a good start to the season and hopefully that has caught people’s attention and all I can do is make sure my performances don’t drop and continue banging in the goals.”
And Mitchell was also thrilled to pen new terms after an already enjoyable four-year spell at the club.

“I’ve worked hard since pre-season, kept my head down and tried to learn as much as possible from everyone around me, so to get rewarded for that is brilliant news for me.”
