Cheerleading and Skillz Centre still going strong

FORMER coaches involved with Burnley FC’s now defunct community sports coaching activities are keeping going.

Reformed under the name of Development Centre Sports Coaching, all the previous sessions are still being run including the Clarets cheerleading team and the popular Skillz Coaching Centre, which has been sponsored by English sportswear giants Mitre Prostar.

The Clarets Cheerleaders, who recently won an unprecedented 12 trophies at a competition in Blackpool, are looking for more recruits to join their award winning squad and train at Turf Moor on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

The Prostar Skillz Coaching Centre will also continue to run on Monday and Friday evenings in Unity College from 5-30 6-30 p.m.
