Up the Clarets!

Nothing to report so far, with both sides feeling each other out during the opening exchanges.

Hannes Delcroix is playing at left-back, while Zeki Amdouni appears to be playing alongside Lyle Foster in attack.

Lyle Foster wins Burnley the game’s first corner following a good turn and cross down the left.

Villa break through Moussa Diaby. Josh Cullen backs off dangerously but crucially he’s there to make the block at the vital moment.

8 - GOAL VILLA (0-1)

Matty Cash stabs home at the back post to give Villa the lead after Ollie Watkins had lifted the ball over the onrushing James Trafford.

Luca Koleosho tries his luck from outside the box as Burnley hunt a quick leveller, but his effort is always rising and flies comfortably over. Good intent though.

Luca Koleosho is looking dangerous in the opening stages. He’s just beaten his man down the left flank before floating in a threatening cross which just eludes Lyle Foster in the centre.

Manuel Benson cuts in from the right flank and curls in a dangerous ball. Three Burnley players look to attack it but the cross is just ahead of them.

Vincent Kompany’s men have responded well to their early setback though.
