Burnley team news - one ruled out, one available for trip to Carrow Road

Left back Charlie Taylor will miss tomorrow’s trip to relegated Norwich City.

But Jay Rodriguez is available and in contention to start.

Taylor came off during the first half of the 1-1 draw with Wolves at Turf Moor on Wednesday night with a hamstring strain, but Sean Dyche hasn’t ruled him out for the final game at home to Brighton a week on Sunday.

And Rodriguez, who came off as a precaution shortly after half-time with a calf problem, has recovered sufficiently to be involved at Carrow Road.

Dyche, asked whether Taylor will miss the last two games, said: “We’re not sure, it’s a low grade injury so therefore he’s got a chance of that recovering sooner rather than later.

“It’s just this game has come around too quick, so he might have a chance for the last game.

“Jay has trained today so we class him as being fit.“

Captain Ben Mee, Jack Cork, Ashley Barnes and Matt Lowton had earlier been ruled out until next season, but Barnes is making good strides after not featuring since New Year’s Day: “Barnesy is going well, he won’t make the season, we’ve got to make sure we safeguard something of these players for what looks like a short break.

“But he’s making good progress.”
