Burnley take a look at Julian Jenner

BURNLEY have this week taken a look at 28-year-old Dutch right winger Julian Jenner on trial.

The pacy Vitesse Arnhem wideman is out of contract in the summer and has spent the week at Gawthorpe as he looks to revitalise his career.

He has only made 10 appearances for Vitesse this season, scoring one goal - with his last outing coming in January as a late substitute against NEC Nijmegen.

I understand no decision has yet been made on the 6ft 1ins winger, but the club are believed to want to invite him back to see him in a game situation.

Jenner has pedigree, having played in Holland’s 2007 European Under 21 Championship success alongside the likes of Ryan Babel, Royston Drenthe and Gianni Zuiverloon. He began his professional career with NAC Breda before joining AZ Alkmaar, and was loaned to Vitesse before making the move permanent.
