Burnley soccer schools return!

DEVELOPMENT Centre Coaching’s team of former Burnley Football Club Community and Centre of Excellence coaching staff, along with former Clarets playing staff, are now back at Unity College, Towneley Holmes on Monday and Friday evenings.

They will be delivering the popular football coaching session Prostar Skillz Coaching Centre, which runs for 4-12-year-olds, between 5-30-6-30 p.m.

Children will learn new skills in fun drills and games including shooting, passing, dribbling, turning and goalkeeping, and there will also be penalty shoot outs and crossbar challenges.

All attending children will also have the opportunity to win match tickets for selected Burnley and Accrington Stanley first team matches!

Following a very successful summer holiday course, their experienced coaching team will also be running their popular half-term Holiday Club again in October, venue to be confirmed.

• DESPITE having a severely weakened team, Fulledge Colts Under 15s played great football but somehow ended up losing 4-3 to Dynamo.

Rob Blow, Cook and Gamble were on target, with a man of the match performance from Ben Beardsall.

• READSTONE United Under 10s Yellow drew 2-2 with Barnoldswick Town.

Ben Dinning hit a brace with Luke Gregson named man of the match.

The Under 11s Yellow beat Brierfield Celtic Red 9-3 after trailing 2-0. Goal scorers were Morgan Crowther (2), Alex Bell (2), Dominic Heys (2), Lewis Taylor ,Sam Molloy and star man Lee Wild.

The Under 12s Blue had an emphatic 9-0 victory over Darwen. with Bradley Ditch (3), James Scorah (2), Juddson Hickey, Charley Bateson, Jack Donnelly and man of the match John Houston on target.

• PENDLE Forest Sports Club are holding an Academy open morning on Saturday, September 24th at the club, off Padiham Bypass, Fence.

Reception and Year 1 boys and girls are welcome between 9-10-30 a.m. to have a taster session with FA-qualified coaches.

Clothing is dependant on the weather – please ensure children have trainers and boots, and drinks.
