The Clarets were scheduled to return to the Barnfield Training Centre today, but the decision has been made that the players and staff will take the precaution to stay away and practice social distancing amid the coronavirus outbreak, until at least April 6th.

Burnley and Sheffield United were due to report this week, while Arsenal were set to return to training on Tuesday, but have now told their players to stay at home.

Every other Premier League club had already shut their training ground and issued individual training plans to follow at home.

Burnley hadn't trained together since last Tuesday, having the rest of the week at home with their families.

The club had already announced that the Academy, from Under 16 level down, will not operate until further notice, while fixtures for the Under 18s and Under 23s have been postponed in line with the Premier League programme.
