Left back Taylor has missed the last three games, spending three weeks on the sidelines, after suffering a hamstring problem in the first half of the 1-0 win over Sheffield United at Turf Moor.

Erik Pieters has slotted in in his absence, but Taylor could boost Sean Dyche's hand.

Dyche also revealed winger Johann Gudmundsson was withdrawn at half-time in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at West Ham as he appeared "fatigued" and Dyche didn't want to run the risk of him picking up another niggle.

Dyche said on Taylor: "He has a chance, we will wait and see. We have had so many injury situations.

"Even with Johann, who looked a bit fatigued and quiet in the first half, I thought if that carries on, in my history of knowing him in the last couple of seasons, he has had little niggly injuries so I made a call on that.

"Robbie(Brady) is finding his feet physically and Jay Rod(riguez) is getting back to true fitness.

"It is a fine line between pushing the players to the maximum, and also holding back enough so that they can get truly fit.

"It is a season's work, I have said that every year I have been at Burnley. And for that we need a fully fit group to operate."
