Burnley keeper Heaton delighted to be involved in promotion push
Clarets keeper Tom Heaton aired his delight in being involved in the club’s Championship rise this term.
At this point last season the 27-year-old was part of the Bristol City team rooted to the bottom of the division having conceded 67 goals in 38 games. The Robins consequently went on to suffer relegation to League One.
However, Heaton has contributed heavily to Burnley’s success to date this term having kept 16 clean sheets ahead of tomorrow’s top-of-the-table clash with Leicester City.
And the goalkeeper, part of the meanest defence in the Championship, admits that confidence is high going in to the game with the league leaders.
