Burnley Football Club is delighted to announce that it has now started installation of an Access Control system which will be in place for the start of the 2014/15 season.

The computerised system, in conjunction with Teamcard, will mean all season tickets are replaced with a dedicated season smart card, similar in appearance to a credit card.

This works by automatically loading all purchased games onto the card. It also allows supporters to purchase cup tickets, which can again be loaded onto the card automatically and eradicate additional postal requirements.

This season card will then automatically allow ticket holders access to the stadium on matchdays, but will immediately identify tickets purchased at concessionary rates.

Burnley Football Club will shortly be announcing a ticket exchange programme on all tickets purchased erroneously for the 2014/15 season.

This is because Access Control, in conjunction with the installation of CCTV on all turnstiles, will make it impossible for fans to enter Turf Moor with tickets bought at an incorrect concessionary category.

In addition to the full match day price, a surcharge is to be implemented on matchdays for tickets being used for incorrect categories.

We will continue to inform supporters throughout the summer on a timeline of season card availability, how these will operate and some additional value that will be offered to season ticket holders as a result of implementing this system.
