Burnley hot seat is made sweeter!

Life in the Clarets’ hot-seat is about to get a little bit sweeter for manager Sean Dyche – thanks to the efforts of growing Nelson firm REM.

The company, which specialises in designer furniture and equipment for the hair and beauty industry, has branched out to create bespoke seats for the Turf Moor dug-outs in time for the new Premier League season.

And one of the first opposition managers to get to try out the firm’s new seating will be Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

REM’s link with Turf Moor came earlier this year when Financial Director Chris Blakey – a keen Clarets fan – came up with the idea of producing beds for the club’s physiotherapy department in the club’s colours.

Then on a visit to Turf Moor to sort out the details on that deal, REM sales director Mick Roach spotted that the dug-out area was being redeveloped – the rest is history.

Says Chris: “It turned out that the club needed 34 seats for the new dug-outs.

“The whole factory has been buzzing with excitement since we clinched the deal.”

Chris, Mick and Manufacturing Director Mohammed Azam took over at REM earlier this year following a management buyout with Rossendale-based Cassons as business advisers.
