Burnley transfer news: Clarets set sights on Premier League striker, Blackburn Rovers ace linked with exit

Burnley are back in action this weekend away at Wigan Athletic.

The Clarets find themselves in 16th position in the Championship table after one win from their opening five league matches.

Vincent Kompany won his first game in charge away at Huddersfield Town on the opening match of the new season but his team are since winless in their last four.

However, they did beat Shrewsbury Town away in the Carabao Cup on Tuesday which will give them confidence going into their trip to the DW Stadium.
