Burnley FC sign Ben Mee on loan from Man City
The England under-21 international has agreed to join the Clarets on a season-long loan deal from the Premier League club.
Mee came through the Academy ranks at Eastlands, captaining City’s side to FA Youth Cup success over Chelsea in2008, before graduating to the senior set-up and making a first-team debut in the Carling Cup last season.
After signing a new contract with City, the 21-year-old then joined former Blues’ boss Sven Goran Eriksson on loan at Leicester City in January and went on to make 15 Championship appearances for the Foxes last season.
The Sale-born central defender impressed in Leicester’s 4-0 win over Burnley at the King Power Stadium in April and is a high-class addition to the Clarets’ squad as boss Eddie Howe steps up his recruitment drive ahead of the new Championship campaign.
