CLARETS skipper Chris McCann led his team to Blackburn, but this particular away visit – to see poorly children in hospital – definitely had the emphasis on friendly.
The Burnley footballers made their annual trip to help cheer up children unfortunate to be in hospital over Christmas.
But this was their first visit to the Royal Blackburn Hospital, following the closure of Burnley’s Deerplay children’s ward.
They certainly gained the right result – leaving the children with plenty of smiles.
