Eddie (33) who took up the managerial reins at Turf Moor in January was the youngest manager in the Football League when he was appointed Bournemouth boss in January 2009.

The beaming boss said: “It’s fantastic. It’s my first child so it’s been a really good week. I’m very happy.

“I’ve been warned what I’ve been letting myself in for but I still don’t think I realise what’s going to happen.

“We haven’t got a name for him yet. Me and my wife are still debating that. You’d think we’d have had long enough! I don’t think our ideas match what he looks like!”
