Burnley FC announce changes to fixture list

The Clarets’ have had two further changes added to their fixture list for the forthcoming npower Championship campaign.

Burnley’s trip to Cardiff City has been put back a day to Sunday, March 18th (kick-off 3 p.m.).

The game has been moved at the request of South Wales police due to Wales’ Six Nations rugby fixture against France in Cardiff the previous day.

And the Clarets’ game against newly-promoted Brighton at Turf Moor has been brought forward 24 hours to Friday, April 6th (kick-off 3 p.m.).

The fixture has been moved to Good Friday at Brighton’s request as the Seagulls look to reduce their travelling over the Easter holiday weekend.

The Clarets will now face two games in four days over Easter with Eddie Howe’s men making the trip to Doncaster Rovers on Monday, April 9th.

The changes follow the switch of Burnley’s home game against Leeds United to a 12-45 p.m. kick-off on Saturday, November 19th, for live television coverage, while the Clarets’ scheduled trip to Birmingham City on Tuesday, August 16th, has been postponed due to the Blues’ Europa Cup commitments.

No new date for the game at St Andrew’s has been confirmed.
