Burnley favourites for Peterborough clash

WITH only three points from a possible 12, Burnley currently sit in the Championship relegation zone, just two places above bottom of the table Peterborough United, who are today’s opponents.

History favours the Posh, with Burnley only managing four wins from the 19 previous meetings between the clubs.

However, according to leading online betting comparison site, Oddschecker.com, Peterborough’s dismal current form means Burnley come into the match as strong favourites, with Paddy Power offering a best price on a home win of 4/5, with Pinnacle at 41/14 for a draw and Boylesports at 4/1 for an away win.

Burnley’s recent results have seen their relegation odds slashed from 7/1 into as short as 4/1 with some bookmakers, but optimistic fans could be tempted by a price of 46/25 with Betfair for the Clarets to turn the tide and achieve a top 12 finish.

Charlie Austin remains a goal threat, and after two goals already this season is still available at 18/1 with Coral to bag the Golden boot.

Blackburn new-boy Jordan Rhodes is the current favourite at 10/1.
